Brian is a graduate of the Technical University of Nova Scotia (TUNS), now Dalhousie University. He has obtained his M.A.Sc., P. Eng. and is currently studying for his PhD. part-time.
Steve has been with YachtSmiths since 2007, when he and his family arrived in Canada from the UK. He brings with him over 20 years experience in all phases of luxury yacht building, specializing in fine carpentry work. Steve has been the shop foreman at Yachtsmiths since 2009.
Conrad has over 15 years of boat building experience and has graduated from the boat building program at Community College in New Brunswick in 1990. He has been with Yachtsmiths since 2007.
Justin is a recent high school graduate and he is enrolled in the Boatbuilder apprentice program at NSCC. Justin interests are wood working and marine systems.
Ryan has been with YachtSmiths since 2007. Ryan holds a diploma in welding from the Nova Scotia Community college. He has over 10 years experience in Metal Fabrication, and specializes in both mig and tig welding and loves a challenge. Ryan is currently working towards his Boat Building diploma at Yachtsmiths, he has his introductory course in Yacht Painting from Awlgrip and is responsible for fairing and painting our boats.
Amie is a college graduate and has just started her Boatbuilding Apprenticeship through NSCC. Her interests are woodworking and wood finishing.
One of our first employees (2002), Robert is an expert in marine systems. He has "seen it all" and stays abreast of the latest technology.
Oli hails from Iceland where he has worked with the marine fiberglass industry for several years. He moved to Canada 15 years ago with Gaski Boats International, and has been with YachtSmiths since 2005. Oli has the well deserved reputation as being one of the leading fiberglassers in Atlantic Canada.
Sarah is a second year welding student at NSCC and works for us part time while she attends college. Her interests are welding and fitting.
